Blarney Castle & Cork City Shore Excursion from Cobh

approx 6-7 hours

This is the excursion most Cobh visitors are looking for and Sean does it better than anyone.

Blarney Castle is one of Ireland's most visited landmarks. But most visitors kiss the Blarney Stone, take a few photos, and leave without realising what they've missed. Sean takes you through the full story of the castle, its history, its legends, and the hidden corners of the grounds that most tourists never find.

From Blarney, the excursion moves into Cork city. St Fin Barre's Cathedral, the English Market, and the heart of a city with a fascinating and turbulent history. Sean brings it all to life with the kind of local knowledge you simply won't get on a group tour.

“ Sean drove our group of 8 to the Blarney Castle. His advice to arrive early allowed us to be the very first group into the castle that day. We all kissed the Blarney Stone without having to wait in line, then toured the castle which is fascinating and spent more time touring the grounds which are magical...truly beautiful...

We then did a little shopping at the Woolen Mills which has beautiful woolen sweaters, coats, capes etc and then continued to Middleton to tour the Jameson Distillery. Along the way, Sean shared history about Ireland and played some songs that helped us to understand more about Ireland's long and painful fight for independence, and how many Irish emigrated to other places to seek a better life for future generations. I highly recommend booking with Sean. He was professional and it was wonderful to spend 2 days with him.
